Located in the centre of town, just 200m to the beach. We are a chilled backpackers with common areas surrounding a large heated pool and upstairs BBQ area. Bikes and Surfboards available for hire. We have

multi-share backpacker rooms, private doubles and twin/double rooms. YHA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, the Arakwal Bumberlin peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. We acknowledge and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and to the extended Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Community.

Come and join in the fun @ Cape Byron YHA!! Just one block from the main beach come and enjoy everything Byron has to offer. Spend your days surfing some of Australia's most famous waves, relaxing at the beach or around our solar heated pool. Take a walk to the lighthouse and Australia’s most easterly point, look out for our local wildlife or better yet head out on the water with a kayak tour and get up close and personal with our resident dolphins and migrating whales (whales May - November). Join us on one of our many activities, pancake mornings, cheese and wine nights, BBQ’s, crafternoon with yummy homemade scones, breakfast at the beach. Hang out at our hipster cafes and grow a mustache, drink locally brewed beer and listen to live music every night in town. Watch the sunset, watch the sunrise, fall in love and make memories.
