I’m the last of my kind.
This stunning red roan brumby stallion I call Max, really is the last of his kind. In 2024, Kosciuzsko National park was closed to the public for 6 months while national parks nsw carried out an aerial culling of the brumbies. Max lost his whole herd during that cull, his home territory looked like an absolute massacre site once the park opened up. Shot brumbies lying everywhere, and in the distance I saw Max on his own, a 2 year old c**t looking absolutely lost and distressed. And now they are coming for him and any remaining brumbies again, starting on the 9th of June. Max is one of only a few remaining red roan stallions, I received information before the cull in 2024 that National parks “wanted to shoot the pretty brumbies first”. Why? So people would loose interest in the brumbies, if there’s only the black or bay brumbies left. That’s how sick and absolutely evil this whole situation is, and the people who want the brumbies gone have displayed absolutely disturbed hatred for them.
Max lives in one of the retention zones, but that didn’t stop them from shooting brumbies in these zones last time, a legislation and a wild horse management plan in place, it seems both labour politicians and national parks nsw just do whatever they want, and they want the brumbies gone and dead.
