Grosvenor in Cairns was built in 1997 as a dedicated holiday and short term corporate apartment complex. It offers 3 types of accommodation: Studio (hotel room accommodation); fully self contained 1 bedroom apartments (with either 1 Queen Bed or 2 single beds) and fully self-contained 2 bedroom apartments (the main bedroom has a Queen Bed and the 2nd bedroom can have either 1 x Queen Bed or 2 single beds)
The complex, like many others in Cairns, is a 3 story 'walk up' however Ben (manager) or Anthony are always available to assist guests with their luggage. Free parking is provided under each of the two buildings for vehicles less than 2.1 mtrs in height. There are also 3 off street car parks for larger vehicles. There is an outdoor pool can be used all the year around. Next to the pool is an undercover meals/BBQ area where there is also a bathroom and shower room. Pool towels are provided to guests free of charge.
Ben has been the 'guest friendly' manager of Grosvenor in Cairns for over 10 years. He and his staff take great pride in the presentation of the property and do all they can to look after the needs of every individual guest. Very knowledgeable regarding the various tours and activities on offer in the Far North Queensland region, he will spend as much time explaining the differences between tours as is necessary to make sure you pick just the right tour for you. Ben moved to Cairns from Melbourne in Victoria in 2008. He follows the Richmond Tigers in the Australian Football League and also enjoys Test Cricket, Science Fiction books and movies.
Located approximately 1.2 kms from the centre of the Cairns CBD, Grosvenor in Cairns is ideally located so as to be away from all the City night time noise but close enough to be an easy 20 minute stroll (or 5 minute car ride) from all the shops and the famous Esplanade coffee shop / restaurant precinct. Located within 250 meters are an Indian Restaurant, an Italian Restaurant, an alcohol outlet, a 20 hour (6am to 12am) convenience store, a Pizza Hut, a Sushi Train, an Indian takeaway, a Kebab shop, a Chinese Take Away, a Thai Cafe, a Fish & Chip shop, a gourmet Pizza shop, an IGA supermarket (open 24 hours), a bakery and a deli. All guests have free use (24/7) of the commercial gym / fitness centre (located just across the road) and the world renowned C**k & Bull Pub / Tavern is only 300 mtrs away.
