This time they can come with you. Pets stay free at The Sebel Canberra Campbell, and on Sunday 11 October Floriade gives its final day over to dogs. Dogs' Day Out runs 9.30am to 5.30pm at Commonwealth Park, free and no ticket needed.

There are worse ways to start a morning than the climb up Mount Ainslie with the dog 🐾

The summit track begins a few minutes from our door, and Teddy Picker's is around the corner for a coffee afterwards. Dogs stay free with us, bowl and orthopedic dog sofa included.

Our two-bedroom suites are self-contained, with a king in each room, a kitchenette for the mornings you'd rather stay in, and a laundry so you can pack lighter than you planned.

Campbell is quiet and green, with the Arboretum playground and Mount Ainslie close by and the city a few minutes away when you want it.

Cold mornings call for something warm, and the team at Edgar's Inn have it sorted. Hot, jammy Turkish eggs with confit garlic, beans, dill yoghurt and toasted Turkish bread. Staff favourite, and we can see why. 🤤
