🚂Stay close to the tracks at Knightsbridge Canberra!
Hello Rail Fans, are we all counting sleeps until the visit of mighty locomotive 3801 to Canberra ?
At Canberra Railway Museum we are all very excited to welcome the team from Transport Heritage NSW for a wonderful weekend of steam hauled trips from 4 to 7 September. No surprises that tickets have sold well; we know Canberrans love a heritage train trip.
All trips on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are sold out. There may still be space on the one way trip from Canberra to Goulburn and Moss Vale on Monday 7 September, and what a beautiful trip that would be - just be mindful that you would need to find your own way back to Canberra. Check the THNSW web site.
Anyone seeking a glimpse of the big green machine can see it as it travels from Kingston to Bungendore (Friday) or Kingston to Burbong on the weekend.
And don’t forget that the Canberra Railway Museum will be open both Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 3.00pm where you can see Canberra’s very own historic green locomotive 1210! Or catch some of our volunteers at our stall at the station on Saturday and Sunday!
