Not far away. I was a student at the old Canberra High in Acton at the time.

A quintessentially Canberra winter image from the 1960s: Snow on the Brindabellas, houses that looked like they were related, a station wagon out the front and Old Parliament House always visible in the distance.

We all love Floriade!

It's been a very exciting week at Commonwealth Park, with the first of the Floriade bulbs being planted! 🥳

Our ACT Government staff and contractors are planting the thousands of bulbs required to create the beautiful displays we know and love, with a variety of flowers including tulips, daffodils and jonquils 🌷

We can’t wait to see them in full bloom at Floriade this year! 🥰
