Today, we celebrate 100 years of Sir David Attenborough — we were incredibly fortunate to welcome Sir David to O’Reilly’s during the 1970s and 1990s while filming and studying the remarkable Regent and Satin Bowerbirds within the rainforests of Lamington National Park.

For generations, his storytelling has inspired millions to better understand, appreciate and protect the beauty of our planet and the creatures that inhabit it.

Thank you, Sir David, for a lifetime of education, inspiration and advocacy for nature. Happy 100th Birthday.

A quick getaway with a friend to the mountain leads to learning of a family members stay seven decades ago at O'Reilly's.

A poem written in 1956 about a Regent Bowerbird, a signature from a loved one in our Guestbook and a heart warming tale about discovering the past, reconnecting to nature and the importance of sharing memories & experiences to pass on to the next generation - as told by Eliza Anusas.
