Cami🇫🇷 + Paulina🇩🇪 our 2 backpackers. Cami and Paulina didn’t know each other before they both decided to come to Australia, they met at another farm stay and then came to Attunga together.
They both been a big blessing and joy to have here at attunga. They’ve been helping a lot with the horses. Such as Getting the horses fitness up, getting rid of behavior problems, leading campers on trail rides and in the arena. They’ve also been a huge help for our kitchen team with helping with meals and clean up.

We sadly have to say cya soon to Paulina 👋🏼 3 weeks went bye very quickly but we wish you well on your next adventure in Australia!
I got to ask Paulina my favorite question.

If you could describe attunga in 1 word what would it be?
“special… but special isn’t enough it’s heartwarming.” 🤍

👋🏼 Say hi to Isabell! 👋🏼 Isabell has been on a farmstay here at attunga for the past 5 weeks.
Originally from Germany, she has made Australia home for the past 20 years. Isabell has been working as a nurse and has traveled around to every state in Australia.

I had the chance to catch up and reflect with Isabell about her time here at attunga:

How did you find attunga?
“Found attunga on the work away website”

What were your first impressions of attunga?
“ I was like wow it’s so calm and tranquil … peaceful and felt like I was coming home. I thought this is the right place to be. After my welcome I was like I don’t think I’m gonna leave”

What were some of your favorite days?
“A day that starts with the horses, a trail ride and cleaning tack. and then serving lunch to the campers Then eating with all of the interns and staff. Helping interns with training their horses, a chill dinner all together and ending the evening with some fun games.”

If you could describe attunga in one word what would it be?
“Home…home away from home…part of something bigger. Haha that’s more then one word”

What is one of the things that the horses taught you?

“Butternut is a very cheeky horses and she showed me how enough stubbornest can get you where you want to go”

Thanks Isabell! You have been a joy to have around, I’m sure we will be seeing you again. 🙂
