LONG SHOT CALL OUT

To the young couple who called in last night, looking for somewhere to stay, if by chance you see this, can you please message our page..

26/03/2026

Attn. Craig Jones. I think you totally missed the point. We are not officially open, we cannot guarantee a booking for next Easter in 2027. We are not advertising for customers. We are not asking for more customers and we do not need anyone recommending Lakeside for future family camping destinations. I'm sorry if you did not get that from my answers. You were informed of our situation, there was no reason for you to take it the way you did, and I cannot apologise for that, so I'm posting here. If you see it, you see it, if you don't, you don't. Either way, we cannot change our situation, or circumstances. We have never advertised, never will. We are certainly not seeking extra customers either, since we are not officially open, with no guarantee we will ever open properly again. I'm not sure where the confusion was...🤷‍♂️

24/03/2026

Sorry Guys..
No messenger again today.
Just have to wait for it to decide to be accessible.

I'll get to you as soon as possible.

I really don't know how to get the word out, that the amenities block, at Lakeside, is PRIVATE PROPERTY, and NOT FOR PUBLIC CONVENIENCE, for the campers free camping along the river. There's been a constant stream of self entitled, or very misinformed free campers, showering and using the toilets, stealing towels, and whatever else they feel they need, to take back to their camp. It's absolutely infuriating that these people think it's their right to come in off the streets, and use the facilities, and head back to their camps. I don't know how to stop this from happening, but we're sure not keen to pay their costs of hot showers for free. And please don't comment, if you think that's selfish, like some have in the past, even when I asked them if they'd open their house for passers by, to use their facilities somehow they reckoned that wasn't a fair comparison.

🔥 Fire Ban Season announced 🔥
Murraylands
1 November 2025 - 30 April 2026

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1KvJ8FnwWo/?mibextid=wwXIfr

The 2025/26 Fire Danger Season will begin soon across several of South Australia’s Fire Ban Districts.

These districts will start on the same dates as last year, reflecting rainfall deficiencies and reduced soil moisture levels.

We are urging all South Australians to take the threat of bushfire seriously by preparing their properties now and reviewing their Bushfire Survival Plans.

Dates for the remaining Fire Ban Districts will be announced in the coming weeks following further local consultation.

I'm just putting a notice up...
We have received dozens, and dozens of messages, over a period of time, none of which are accessible. Not sure why, perhaps, because they're not coming through the page, but somewhere else on the internet..
The only page we're associated with, and operate, regarding Lakeside, is THIS PAGE, so if anyone tries to access from another source, they're probably not getting through..
If this has happened to you, you're not being ignored, you're just not using the right channels, and that's out of our control...
Chances are, if they're not using this page, they're not going to see this either.
We do receive a lot of messages, for enquiries, but they're clearly not accessing this home page first, because they're not even aware of the flood, or temporary closure.
Once again, out of our control..
So we're just putting it out there, go to our home page, and take it from there... You'll see, from our home page, that we have not reopened, at this stage...
