A BIG WEEKEND FOR NEWCASTLE!

It’s been 25 years since the Newcastle Knights last played in an NRL Grand Final, and this Sunday they’ll take to the field with the hopes of an entire city behind them.

From the team here at the Apollo, we’d like to wish the Knights all the very best as they take on the Roosters. What an incredible achievement to make it this far and what a moment it would be to break the drought and bring the trophy home to Newcastle!

We know plenty of Novocastrians will be making the trip to Sydney this weekend, so whether you’re travelling by car, coach or train, please travel safely and allow plenty of time for the journey.

A Familiar Face in a New Role!

We know many of our regular guests will be thrilled to hear that Rachel has been promoted to Front Office Manager.

After almost four years with the Apollo, Rachel has become very well known to many of our guests. Her dedication to the hotel, genuine care for those staying with us and commitment to supporting the wider team, have certainly not gone unnoticed. She has also played an important role in mentoring and training newer members of our Front Office team, helping ensure the warm and welcoming service our guests know and love continues.

Rachel steps into the role following Austin’s decision to pursue a new opportunity more closely aligned with his interest with IT. While he’s moving on from his full-time role, Austin will still be assisting our Front Office team on Sunday mornings.

Please join us in congratulating Rachel on this very well-deserved promotion. We’re incredibly pleased to see her take this next step with the Apollo.
