We’re really proud to support the Bilby Art Trail — such a lovely project for Charleville, and a fun way for visitors to get out and explore a little more of town. ✨

The team is now fundraising to bring the next six bilbies to life and keep the trail growing.

They still need a little help to get there, so if you’d like to see it continue, why not consider making a donation or simply sharing their post to help spread the word.

An amazing initiative from Fun Over 50 Holidays is bringing visitors through South West Queensland, helping support local cafés, attractions, tours, accommodation and small businesses along the way.

The "Backing the Outback" campaign delivers real support, with hosted coach journeys introduced as a practical way to inject immediate economic activity into the region. With multiple departures already sold out, the campaign shines a spotlight on regional communities including Roma, Quilpie, Eromanga, Thargomindah, Cunnamulla, St George and our very own Charleville.

Fun Over 50 Holidays will be donating the use of their Gold Class coach, along with a driver and host,
as part of this goodwill initiative - with support like this, Outback Queensland is definitely open, welcoming visitors and we're ready to be explored! 🧡🌅

Over the past few weeks, our rooms have been quietly evolving!

New textures, deeper tones, thoughtful details, and spaces designed to feel calm and connected to Outback Queensland.

One of the greatest parts of the process has been working with talented local artists Hollie Grimwade and Katrina Lehmann, whose incredible pieces are beginning to find their homes throughout our property.

This is just the beginning… we can’t wait to share more as the rollout continues.

Mulga Country Motor Inn – Team Positions Available

We’re currently looking to welcome new casual team members to Mulga Country Motor Inn.

Housekeeping roles (2 casual positions)
• 4–5 days per week
• Must be available across all days, including some weekends
• Typical shifts 3–5 hours
• Standard start time 8:30am (can be flexible for school drop-offs)
• One role starting soon, another in about a month

These roles would suit reliable people who take pride in maintaining a high standard. Our rooms are known for being exceptionally clean and well presented.

Casual Evening restaurant staff
Commencing around April
• Short evening shifts (generally around 3 hours)
• Start times between approximately 4:30pm–6:00pm
• Varying nights depending on bookings

Hospitality experience is helpful but not essential. Reliability and a strong work ethic are most important.

We are a family-run business with a supportive team environment.
