New night time lighting for improved safety has worked out really well. The pathways all have ground level lighting and supplementary motion lighting adjacent to all buildings have lit the place up and of course, south west QLD premier campfire is keeping everyone warm and toasty. Getting a few of your village pumpkins ready for Charleville show in 10 days time. Still some on the vine to harvest but we will do that closer to show day.The small orange ones are called golden nuggets, they grow quickly but take a fair while to ripen. Safe travels everyone!

Your village has been rather steady and relaxed over the QLD long weekend. The few clusters of native apricots or gumbi gumbi are starting to looking good ( Pittosporum Angusifolium ) and have set well this year. The rabbits are still giving the garden a good munch, despite best efforts (the basset hound patrol doesn’t seem to be working) but they are not into the sweet potatoes as yet. Still no rain and it is getting dry, so bring a good size hammer for your tent pegs. Save travels everyone.

Park life has been very relaxing. This is Malcolm from Brisbane, and he has relatives further down Adavale Road. Mal stays with us and the trip gives him a chance to give his "mechanically sound" 70-year-old Peugeot a run. He also likes his breakfast early beside the fire. It hasn't rained for a while and is getting dry, so the pet sheep are getting hand fed with mulga and big lamby says hello to everyone. Safe travels!
