Morning and ceremony details from S + H’s March wedding 🤍
After a morning adventure into the mountains, the boys spent the morning in the Green and Red Rooms at the Villa, while the girls got ready at the Coach House. A quick ride up in the back of the ‘benz ute’ for the girls to meet 130 nearest and dearest for a seated ceremony in Wesley Dale’s private chapel… and that’s all before the party has even started!!
We loved the thoughtful details woven throughout the ceremony – rose petals that had been carefully saved and dried for months by someone special, the boys and their pheasants, the grooms suit made from wool grown by his family, treasured family jewels, flowers grown by friends, and of course, who could look past that wonderful splash of Scottish heritage.

Well, this was a lovely surprise. has featured Dale in their guide to the best family things to do in Tasmania this Off Season, and we're a little humbled to be in such good company.
Come and join us for A stellar, starlit family night... Two wood fires already crackling to warm your hands by when you arrive, a hamper of hand-picked local goodies to settle into, and the 1870s Coach House to spread out in, room for up to 14, so bring the whole extended family. The kids take over the bunk room (more adventurous camp-in than bedroom), and the grown-ups get the two master bedrooms or the queen loft when it's finally time to turn in.
Days are for exploring, meeting the animals on the farm, seeing what's growing in the veggie garden, a trip out to Cradle Mountain or a walk closer by with the Great Western Tiers sitting behind you. Evenings are slower: a games basket, plenty of firewood, and a hot chocolate kit made with local
milk and chocolate, with marshmallows for toasting.
Then, after dark, you head outside and look up. There's a stargazing kit waiting, a thermos, keep cups, torches and a star guide to take on your evening adventure.
🌙 Off Season at Wesley Dale is running until 31 August 2026

There are places that demand attention, and then there are those that earn quiet reverence. Wesley Dale, just outside the village of Chudleigh in Tasmania’s north, is one such place. It doesn’t announce itself with grandeur, but with integrity — in every timber beam, every weathered stone, eve...

We're not sure who decided winter was the season to stay inside.

Here at Wesley Dale, the Great Western Tiers are often at their best, the paddocks are impossibly green, the air is crisp, the night sky is alive, and there is always a crackling fire waiting inside at the Coach House.

Not a bad way to spend a weekend, if you ask us.

We’ve got a little excited about winter this year and are running a cosy offer, which you can find on our website.

And, even better, we’ve teamed up with to give one lucky winner a two-night stay at the Coach House on us.

Take a look at the competition post on our grid for all the details.

We've teamed up with Waverley Mills to give one lucky winner the chance to experience a slower kind of winter. Win a two-night stay at The Coach House — a beautifully restored country retreat set within one of Tasmania's great historic rural properties, surrounded by rolling hills, crisp air and quiet winter mornings.

A place for books by the fire, long sleeps, fine whisky and wool blankets. Thoughtful, grounded and quietly luxurious — the kind of Tasmanian escape that stays with you long after you leave.

Take a look at the post for details!

Sometimes it’s the unscripted moments you remember most… A squeeze of the hand at just the right moment, a runaway veil… or a few muddy paws on a white wedding dress 🐕😍

An exciting week on the farm at Wesley Dale Tasmania as we come to the end of joining – the four-week period where the rams are in with the ewes 🐑🤍🐑. It marks the beginning of a new cycle and in around 18 weeks’ time, we’ll see lambs on the ground.

At Wesley Dale, we breed for strong maternal traits – ewes that are fertile, give birth easily, and care well for their young.

It’s been a strong, wet autumn, with plenty of rain and good growing conditions, allowing us to join a little earlier than usual this year – a small but meaningful shift in our farming calendar, so there will be lambs on the ground at the beginning of September.

As we edge closer to winter, we are slowing things down on the feed front too, allowing the grass to grow ahead and set us up well for the colder months.

While we’re already looking forward to lambing, the team is also welcoming a gentle shift in pace for the winter months ahead.

If you’d like a taste of winter on the farm – or to meet the lambs in spring – we have availability at the Coach House over the coming months. All stays include a farm tour of course. Bookings via the link in our bio.

Thanks to Belinda one of our amazing team for these shots!
