Introducing Chef Jon - the amazing culinary creator behind the new restaurant at Eldredge ‘The Brasserie’

Jon’s passion is French cooking and the menu will often reflect this with traditional French dishes such as Boeuf bourguignon or Chicken fricasse, however he’s a chameleon in the kitchen and can change style to pasta, pizzas, Aussie favourites, and will base the menu around showcasing fresh seasonal produce.

October long weekends menu will feature freshly shucked Oysters, bowls of Mussels, and Napolean Pizzas - perfect for sharing on the lawns in the sunshine.

The Brasserie is open Thursday - Sunday from 12pm-4pm.

With the Clare Valley becoming a patchwork of colour, it's a stunning time of year to do our "Behind the Farm Gate" tour at Bungaree Station. It's such a beautiful time of year in the Clare Valley, with longer days allowing time to walk off indulgent lunches before cosying up in front of the fire at Bungaree Station.

A gorgeous afternoon at the "cattle creche" - one or two cows are often left to "calf-sit" while the rest of the herd graze across the paddock.. but all quickly return to investigate when they see the ute or hay tractor!

CROPPING OVERSEER, BUNGAREE, CLARE VALLEY SA
Bungaree, 12 kms North of Clare, South Australia is seeking a Cropping Overseer to join our experienced farm team.

This hands-on overseer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a well established, 1600 hectare cropping program along with associated pasture renovation. The applicant will need to be a proactive team player and also assist with the cattle and sheep enterprise on this iconic mixed farming property.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in all aspects of an arable farming operation, including use and maintenance of spraying, seeding and harvesting equipment.
- Strong understanding of timeliness and logistical management for crop success.
- HC licence (or ability to upgrade), with MC licence being advantageous.
- Applicants must hold permanent residency status in Australia - this is not a short term role suitable for backpackers.

Preferable Skills
- Experience in using John Deere equipment, including SP sprayer.
- Experience with on farm grain storage.
- Experience with livestock.
- Knowledge of pasture management and livestock production advantageous.

- A competitive remuneration package from $70,000 - $100,000 plus superannuation, based on experience and ability.
