Living up to its name (Altura translated means 'high ground'), Altura Vista Cottages is an extensive semi-rural property, tucked away high on a ridgeline amongst towering gums and natural vegetation. Accommodating a maximum of just six guests, Altura Vista Cottages offers ultimate privacy - a space to unwind, indulge and enjoy the amazing views! We have welcomed many travelers from families, group

s of friends, loved-up couples; and even hosted a few surprise proposals. The Luxe Escape Cottage is most suited to couples or solo explorers and the Treetop Cottage, incorporates a larger design to accommodate a group of guests. Both are equipped with luxurious amenities such as a deep, freestanding bath, rainfall walk-in shower, full kitchen with modern appliances, including espresso machine, wood fireplace, private outdoor spa, and a sumptuous king-size bed for that perfect night's sleep; your every need is anticipated. Complimentary toiletries and continental brekky provisions for the first day of your stay are included and guests can also choose to add on a meal package through our website, for a cozy night in. Samford Village is a convenient 8-minute drive away. Forget about driving for hours, we are only 40 minutes from the river city of Brisbane, so you can escape the rat race any day of the week. This quirky, clever, creative initiative by the Country Women's Association and their many helpers can be found at our sister village, Dayboro. Just 15 minutes up the road from us. The woolly exhibition, displayed in the cooler months, grows larger with each passing year and will be sure to put a smile on your face!❤️💚💙💜

My temporary office until power is restored. Energex guesstimate Fri 14th March 9pm. Cellular connection is another story. Apart from a couple of roof leaks and a huge gum across our drive, which our local firies (/legends) took care of, we are super grateful our home, cottages, family and animals are all safe. 🙏 Look forward to welcoming guests back asap and hope all those who have suffered worse are back on their feet soon. ❤️

🌟Birth Announcement!🌟
Two little crias born Tuesday 12 Nov.
Skye and bub (jet black) are doing well. Molly's little one (fawn) is struggling due to being born earlier than her due date. Fingers and toes crossed. 🤞🤞🤞 A special shout out and enormous thanks to Pippa and Ray, our lovely guests, who helped pet sit whilst I ran down to the vet to grab some emergency supplies, and also assisted me in trying to get bub to nurse from mum. Actually, it was Pippa who called me to say the knoll had become a birthing suite! Yes, all three of us were in the firing line and retired in the afternoon with a nice shade of green in our hair, not to mention everywhereelse! At least it was organic. 😅 I would have been lost without them. Much appreciated, Pippa & Ray!!💞💞💞
