Individual or couple, doesn’t matter. We need someone who’s happy to have a yarn with guests, keep an eye on the facilities, and generally help keep things ticking along.

We’ll handle the rest.

Full disclosure: I’m pretty time-poor. So I’m looking for someone who’s quick off the mark, has common sense, takes initiative, and doesn’t need a detailed PowerPoint presentation to work out what needs doing.

You could say I’m biased but Cobar really is a must on your outback itinerary. She’s a town rich in Australia’s mining history, ancient Aboriginal culture and a rugged outback beauty.

From standing above a giant open-cut mine at Fort Bourke Hill to discovering 30,000-year-old stories at Mount Grenfell, we have so much to see and do. Cobar really is a little outback NSW gem & is far more than a stop on the highway.

This afternoon, I slipped into the Bedford Bathhouse. I rarely get to pop in because it’s never available.

It was so peaceful, the birds singing in the trees around me. Emus wandered through the paddock. Kangaroos in the distance. The afternoon sun was beginning its slow descent, preparing for another sunset that would be completely different from the one before it.

And as I soaked away, I remembered why we built it.

We wanted to create a unique place where people could slow down. A place to soak in the landscape. To pause long enough to notice the landscape, wildlife, the changing light, the silence, and ALL the beauty that surrounds us.

When bringing things to life & building something, you hope others will love it.

Today, I realised something.

I still LOVE it. Like it was my first time…

It still makes me stop and go this is MAGICAL.

It still reminds me how extraordinary this little corner of the world is! The outback is bloody beautiful.

And perhaps that’s the greatest gift of all creating something that never loses its magic, even for the people who dreamed it up.

For that, and for every person who has come and experienced it with us, I’m incredibly grateful.
