✨ A proud moment for Rumi on Louth.

We are incredibly honoured to share that Rumi on Louth has been recognised with the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026, placing us among the top 10% of destinations worldwide. 🌏🏆

This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our guests – the people who experienced our island, embraced our vision, and became part of the Rumi story.

Receiving this award during our current operational pause makes it even more significant.

While the island may be quieter right now, behind the scenes we have been working tirelessly on preparations for Stage 2 of the resort’s development – the next chapter in bringing our long-term vision for Rumi to life.

Building an off-grid luxury resort on a remote island has been an extraordinary journey filled with challenges, lessons, resilience and unwavering belief in what this destination can become.

This award is a testament to:

After an extraordinary first chapter, Rumi on Louth will pause guest stays as we conclude Stage One of the island’s journey.

What began as a vision for a quieter, more considered form of hospitality has been shaped by every guest, supporter, collaborator and member of our extended community who chose to be part of it. For that, we are deeply grateful.

Over the past seasons, Rumi has become more than a destination. It has been a place for stillness, connection, conversation and reflection, shared across one remarkable island.

As operations pause, owners Che and Natasha Metcalfe are now turning their attention toward the next phase of Rumi’s long-term vision.

Stage Two will see the evolution of the island through a new collection of private pavilions and experiences designed with the same care, restraint and deep respect for place that have guided Rumi from the beginning.

This is not an ending. It is the beginning of what comes next.

We look forward to sharing more in time.
