Our new venture
We were looking for the next chapter after so many years in Papua New Guinea and settled on the idea of a small motel. We decided what we wanted and explored options everywhere from the Northern Territory to Tasmania... finally finding one that ticked all the boxes in sunny Coffs Harbour on the Northern New South Wales coastline. It had just what we wanted - no restaurant or bar, poor reviews, average occupancy, and looked a bit shabby - so we had something to work on. We certainly got what we wished for and despite the hard work are working through a two year face-lift plan, already doubling the average occupancy and enjoying some really great reviews in the process. It’s a bit like ‘Fawlty Towers’ meets ‘Groundhog Day’ sometimes, but welcoming all the new faces and exceeding (most) expectations makes it all worthwhile. We’re looking forward to 2020 as we continue to building the business.
