The Clog Barn one of Coffs Harbour’s iconic tourist attractions only 1.5km from the town centre is famous for its miniature Dutch village complete with working railway. Tom Hartsuyker was born in Holland and moved to Coffs Harbour and built The Clog Barn from the ground up including all the village models, and at 92 Tom still makes and maintains his pride and joy. Tom is at The Clog Barn every day so come in and say hello

Oma's Coffee House with homemade cakes, pancakes, crepes and many other delicious meals using fresh local produce. Cafe kitchen closes 3pm daily. Souvenir and Gift Shop Call in for souvenirs or special gifts and it is here that you can see the miniature Dutch village and where clog making demonstrations are held daily at 10am & 2pm. Don’t forget to have your photo taken in our giant clogs! Clog Barn Caravan Park best place in Coffs for RV’S, caravans and tents. We also boast 4 or 7 berth cabins and there is also our clog shaped pool. We love pets and they are welcome to stay

John celebrated his birthday last night, and of course, the moment the camera came out we got the classic John facial expression. 🤣

Some things really do get better with age… but apparently his photo poses aren’t one of them!

94 years young and back where he belongs. 🥹🛠️

After a couple of months away from his shed while his hand healed from a little injury, Tom was absolutely itching to get back into his workshop… and this week, he finally did!

At 94, you’d think he might be ready to put his feet up — but anyone who knows Tom knows that was never going to happen. 😂

Back at his workbench, tools around him and another miniature building in his hands, he’s happiest when he’s creating, repairing and tinkering away on the miniature Dutch village he’s spent so many years building. 🇳🇱❤️

We’re very happy to see him back doing what he loves — and judging by that smile, so is he!

✨ COME TO WORK WITH ME… it’s been a while! 🇳🇱💙

My first proper “Come to Work With Me” day back in a LONG time — and I definitely picked a busy one! 😂

The main mission for the day was a MAJOR gift shop restock 📦🛍️ and there was sooo much new stock to unpack, price, organise and get onto the shelves.

Honestly, there’s something so satisfying about watching the shop go from boxes everywhere to shelves absolutely FULL of Dutch goodies again. 😍🇳🇱

We’ve had lots of beautiful new stock arriving lately, so if you haven’t wandered through the gift shop in a while… this is your sign! 👀

Come along for a day behind the scenes at The Clog Barn while we get the shop stocked up and ready for another busy week. 💙

94 years young and still the heart and soul of The Clog Barn! ❤️

Today we had the very special job of celebrating Tom’s 94th birthday, surrounded by family, plenty of smiles and, of course, birthday cake! 🎂

For more than 40 years, Tom has poured his heart into The Clog Barn and our miniature Dutch village, handcrafting the models that so many of you have grown up visiting. And at 94, he’s still here, still keeping busy and still very much part of it all! 🥰

We feel incredibly lucky to celebrate another birthday with the man behind the models.
