Wineglass Bay is such a special part of our region. You can admire it from the Wineglass Bay Lookout, a beautifully constructed track that takes you up through coastal woodland, past striking granite boulders, to the lookout. This is a steep uphill walk, around 1.3km each way, so walkers are advised to take advantage of the resting seats found along the way. Or take the full circuit! Continue past the lookout and down onto the sands of Wineglass Bay. Return by crossing the isthmus to Hazards Beach and rounding the coast beneath the Hazards. This circuit (4-5hr, 11km) is one of Tasmania’s 60 Great Short Walks 🩵
For experienced hikers, you can also take in the magnificent panoramic views, hike the Mount Amos track, 3 hours return, 3.6km challenging track only suitable for physically fit and well-equipped walkers.
⚠️ With any walk, always prepare and walk to your capability and let someone know your plans. A valid Parks Pass is required.
