💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

It’s funny how the things we remember most about Dad are often the little things.
The sound of his voice calling your name.
His laugh from the other room.
The same stories you’d heard a hundred times.
The advice you probably rolled your eyes at, only to realise years later that he was right.
It’s the car rides, the Sunday mornings, the family holidays, the silly jokes and the quiet conversations. The way he could fix almost anything — or at least convince you he could. The way you always knew that if something went wrong, Dad would somehow make it okay.
As we get older, we realise just how much of himself Dad gave to us. The long days, the sacrifices we never noticed, the worries he kept to himself and all the times he went without so we didn’t have to.
And somehow, those ordinary moments we barely thought twice about become the ones we treasure the most.
For those who still have their dad beside them, soak up those little moments. Sit a little longer. Listen to the story again. Take the photo. Give him the hug. Tell him what he means to you.
And for those missing their dad today, you find him in the smallest places — a familiar song, an old photograph, a saying you suddenly hear yourself repeating, a smell that takes you straight back home. For just a second, it can feel like he’s right there beside you again.
Because the people we love leave pieces of themselves everywhere.
In our memories.
In our traditions.
In the stories we tell.
In the way we love our own families.
And maybe that’s the beautiful thing about a dad’s love — no matter how much time passes, a part of him will always feel like home. 💙
