We’re seeing a fox in the shepherds hut field nearly every day at present, we think they’re hungry in this dry weather 🦊 If you like nature this year is fantastic one for butterflies and moths, and our wildflower meadow by the river is alive with all sorts of crickets and dragonflies!

Like to walk? The south west coast path is just half an hours walk away, off road right from our hut, down the Saints Trail. On these lovely light summer evenings you can have a drink at the Watering Hole and then stroll home.

We love happy guests! If you’d like to visit we have two two-night gaps in April, and a couple of gaps in May, including a rare Saturday arrival slot from the 9th-15th.

Happy Easter! Lots of our guests ask for recommendations to get off the beaten track. One of our common ones is to avoid Land’s End, and instead find the broad blue skies at Cape Cornwall, or the big sandy beach at Sennen. You can combine them with a visit to Trengwainton (NT) or Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens for a full day ‘down west’!
