The Final of the Mixed Pairs Consistency was held last Sunday. From all accounts it was a great match with Eileen having shots in the head each end. Both teams had the spectators on the edge of their seats. But there can only be 1 winning team and that was Ian Lewis and Eileen Ide. Runners up were Terry and Michelle Shields. Well done to both teams

Another lovely day for social bowls today with 18 bowlers taking part.

Thanks once again for the report regarding social bowls for today Saturday 22 August from Annette

13 players played two games of 10 ends. We welcomed Alan Jones once again.

Winners were Ian Lewis and Sue Curtis with 2 wins and 34 points

Runners up Col Hendren, Peter King and Jan WWebber with 2 wins and 32 points.

There are still a few spots available for The Gwen Tait Ladies Triples on Thursday 17 September. So If you haven't got a team together get in contact with the club and put your entry in.

Good turnout of 18 bowler's today. Weather was a bit dull with abit of light rain half way through the second game.

Winners today were Michael Bryan, Peter King and Geoff Smith

Runners up Terry Shields, John Dalgleish and Jan WWebber.

The men's and ladies pairs 1st round will now be played on Sunday 13th September due to fathers day on 6th September.

Better late than never

Social bowls results from Wednesday 12 August.

20 players enjoyed our facilities on the greens and inside our club rooms.

Winners were:
Steve Rodway, Michelle Shields and Eileen Ide with 29 points

Runners up:
Ray Ager, Peter King, Frank Hicks and Peter Howell with 27 points

What a great turnout for our Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament on the weekend. 40 teams took part, with teams coming from Victoria and NSW. Both days were played in perfect weather.

A big thankyou to all our Corowa Civic Club members who maned the bar, prepared morning tea and lunch on both days. Especially the Match Committee who made it all possible. There are too many names to mention, but you know who you are.

Winners were Rob and Helen Clough from Bendigo - 5W + 130

Runners up Gerard and Linda Reed from Port Arlington - 5W +118

3rd Jim Le Fevre and Abbey Aren't - Composite team - 5W + 111

4th Steve and Jan O'Brien's from Bendigo East - 5W + 72

Best game Saturday: Robert Morgan's and Anthea Nochels from Moyhu - +42

Best game Sunday: Darryl Coventry and Kaye Habermann from Commercial Club - +48 also Glen and Marea Marshall from Romsey +48 (dead heat)
