We owned the leasehold of Koala Park Resort. Our landlord had been trying to control how we ran our business here ever since we arrived and when that failed he threatened us with his "deeper" pockets. By foul means he has managed to have our business liquidated, not because we went broke, not because we didn't have future bookings (we had hundreds and they were up by 50% on 2016!) but because he refused to remove an "illegal" eviction order.

We have loved nurturing this business and property back towards a "living and growing" state and school camps provided our greatest pleasure. We were getting so much positive feedback from groups and motel guests for the direction we were following and the Landlords actions have left us devastated for the flow on effect on our patrons. We do not know if bookings will be honoured.

The park is closed. We are not allowed to act for the business anymore and my partner has had a breakdown so we request that all enquiries are directed to Venn Milner and Co. Liquidators. Phone: 03 9894 1044. Mr Len Milner.

Candowie Reservoir is sitting at only 42.4 % even after all the rain we have just had. This is the main water supply for the Island. Please think carefully before requesting your room be serviced with clean towels each day. Only have short showers and turn taps off properly. Every extra load of washing, every unnecessarily long shower and every tap you leave dripping means less water for for the Island residents and guests for drinking, washing, swimming, and the gardens. !!

What a lovely weekend! We have donated use of all the Parks' facilities and rooms to a "Girls Weekend Away" organised by Krista Mountford. The event is raising money for Ovarian Cancer. The ladies seem to be having a really great time with a range of activities like Yoga, meditation, Neck and shoulder massages, Trivia night, psychic readings, and various workshops including cooking, craft, and beauty makeovers. Lots of Door Prizes and Goodie bags as well as a tour of the Chocolate Factory! Seeing smiles everywhere!

Here at Koala Park Resort we pride ourselves on being upfront about what we offer. We are aware we are not a 5 star resort and do not claim to be. We have been here 4 weeks now, in the busiest part of the year and are brimming over with our desire to make changes to the way things are done and to update the decor. Unfortunately, time won't permit this until after the new school year starts. Our current accommodation is aimed at families (motel and family units) and school groups (bunk units) and our prices are based on the facilities we provide. While we have had an unpleasant review recently, we have also had many families who have very much enjoyed their stay and have in fact praised our cleaners on the cleanliness of our rooms. We are striving very hard to make each and every guest's visit an enjoyable one.

It's a great honour to experience the happiness of our guests while enjoying their stay here at Koala Park Resort, it brings a smile our faces to see the children splashing around in the pool and laughing together, families bonding through their mutual holiday experiences, it's these days that we live for.
