: Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just announced significant new measures in an effort to implement social distancing across the country.

From midday tomorrow there will be a partial closure of bars, pubs, restaurants, casinos and entertainment venues across the country. Restaurants and cafes will be restricted to takeaway only.

Bottle shops will be exempt.

"This should highlight to all Australians how serious this is."

Yes we are OPEN; and based on recent information we will continue to trade as normal.

However, we have had to modify the way in which we operate (to be in line with government guidelines) to ensure the health and safety of all our patrons and staff.

Things YOU need to know:
We have increased our already high standard of hygiene.
Staff are regularly cleaning all surfaces – including the bar, tables, chairs, toilets ect
Our restaurant has been reset to coincide with new social distancing guidelines outlined by the Federal Government.
Cutlery is no longer set for you; it will be provided to you when your meal is served.
Bookings are essential to ensure we do not exceed our capacity. (walk ins may be turned away if we have reached our available numbers)

Food will no longer be served in the bar to coincide with government guidelines and patronage in the bar will be limited to coincide with the new soicla distancing guidelines set out by the government today.

We are all facing unpresidented times ahead and we appreciate your understanding.

Hi Everyone, there are of course a few rumours flying around. We just wanted to inform everyone that we currently DO NOT have anyone infected with coronavirus.
All govt advice is being adhered to, social distancing and self isolation if necessary. We take the well being and health of our guests and local community very seriously and do not want to put anyone at risk.

Ringwood Hotel Tasmania like to provide you with an update relating to the Covid-19 virus. At this stage we are still business as usual (with a little bit of tweaking). We are also asking customers to limit using cash wherever possible and to encourage payment by card as there is little to no personal contact needed with the tap and go option. At this stage we are not experiencing difficulties with getting stock from our suppliers, but how long this lasts is unknown. We have been warned by a number of suppliers of impending shortages, so please be understanding that somethings may become unavailable which is out of our control. We will try to minimize this as much as possible. We have always taken pride in keeping our Bar and Restaurant as clean as possible, but have increased the focus on this by installing more hand sanitizer units and disinfecting as much as possible. We are committed to helping our community get through this difficult time and as such are working hard to provide takeaway meals and home delivery. And last, but not least, let’s please look after each other. It is very important for us to get through this very uncertain and worrying time.

This Sunday we welcome
Launceston City F.C to The Ringwood Hotel for a private function meaning the restaurant will be closed to the general public but the bar will still be open for drinks.

With this function we will also be closing early and not offering a dinner service this week I'm afraid

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope yo see you in for Sunday lunch and dinner next week.

Hello everyone,

Just a heads up everyone there are some tables available tonight for the start of the long weekend,
but unfortunately we have a couple of things happening here at the Ringwood this weekend and they are as follows,

-Saturday night- restaurant booked out

-Sunday lunch- booked out and no evening service.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you..

NEW MENU next week and I can give a little away - we will have a Rack of Pork ribs coming and Scotch fillet is back..!
