Today, we celebrate the first year of Cygnet Old Bank under the new management .

This year, we’ve worked hard together, faced challenges and pressure together, and shared plenty of laughter along the way.

Thank you to everyone who has put in the effort, to everyone who has kept going, and to everyone who, even during the busiest and hardest times, chose to keep moving forward with us.

To us, Cygnet Old Bank is more than just a Workplace.It’s more like a home ,a place where we share experiences, face challenges, grow together, and create something we all truly care about.

What a fabulous night!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the beautiful Cygnet Old Bank for our Cygnet Folk Festival & Island Coast SpritsTasting Event.

From the delicious spirit tastings by Island Coast Spirits, to the wonderful music from Montz Matsumoto and Chris Ellis, and the absolutely magical canapés created by Willa, it was an evening full of great flavours, great music and great company.

A special shout-out to our Festival Director Bridget, who pulled it all together, and thanks to everyone who helped make the night run so smoothly. I was delighted to MC the evening and soak up the fantastic atmosphere.

The best part? Seeing so many new faces! It was wonderful to meet people who had never been to Cygnet Folk Festival before and are now planning to join us in January.

That's what community events are all about—bringing people together, sharing great local food, drink and music, and giving everyone a taste of the magic that is Cygnet Folk Festival.

Thank you to everyone who came along. We can't wait to welcome you back to Cygnet in January!

We’re looking for a passionate, experienced and reliable Chef / Kitchen Leader to join our team in Cygnet, Tasmania.

If you have a strong background in Australian café & brunch cuisine, enjoy leading a team, and take pride in delivering great food and a great guest experience, we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

* 3+ years’ experience in a Chef / Kitchen Management role
* Strong experience in Australian café & brunch
* Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a kitchen team
* Strong kitchen organisation and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, organised and positive attitude
* Passion for quality food and great hospitality
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen standards

For one special night, we're swapping gumboots and festival gear for frocks, suits, sparkles and dancing shoes!

Join us at the Cygnet Old Bank Café for an intimate evening of whisky and gin tasting with Kirk Pinner from Island Coast Spirits, delicious canapés, and live music from Slim Pickens & Montz Matsumoto.

As a bonus, guests will receive exclusive access to Early Bird tickets for the 2027 Cygnet Folk Festival before they go on sale to the public.

This is a fundraiser for the Cygnet Folk Festival, helping keep the music, community and magic alive for years to come. There will be opportunities throughout the evening to support the festival.
