Sometimes the best souvenirs aren’t bought in a shop—they’re created from the heart. 🌿🎨
We were so touched to receive this incredible drawing and card from one of our recent guests. Seeing Steve captured like this (and feeling the love in those words) reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Window Seat to the Rainforest 🌿
It’s not every day you get a front-row seat to breakfast in the tropics! This teenage Southern Cassowary just wandered up for a snack right outside the window.
Watching these “living dinosaurs” grow up and navigate the Daintree is such a privilege. From their fuzzy chick days to this sleek, teenage stage, they never cease to amaze us with their prehistoric vibes and calm presence.
Did you know? Cassowaries are essential for the rainforest’s survival, spreading the seeds of over 150 different plant species. They really are the gardeners of the North!

The bridge back to the wild is officially open. 🌿🚢
After four weeks of being disconnected from the rest of the world, the Daintree River Ferry has reopened today! We’ve spent the last month listening to the pulse of the rainforest and watching the river rise and fall—but now, we’re ready to share the “silent-ish” symphony of the forest with you again.
The Daintree didn’t go anywhere, but she sure is looking lush after the rain. Grab your gear, cross the river, and come get “re-earthed” with us at Crocodylus. 🐊✨

Great news! The Daintree Ferry is Reopening! 🌿⛴️
We are so excited to share that the Daintree Ferry is officially scheduled to reopen this Thursday, April 2nd!
This is perfect timing for all our guests joining us for the Easter break. The rainforest is looking absolutely lush, the local wildlife is active, and we are completely ready to welcome you back to Daintree Crocodylus.
The path is clear, the "unplugged" vibes are waiting, and we can't wait to see you all back in the wild!

Forget the alarm clock. ☕️🦖
This morning’s wake-up call at Daintree Crocodylus was a visit from our local Cassowary dad and his little one! They’ve been laying low during the storms, but they’re back out for an early morning stroll.
Nothing beats seeing these prehistoric beauties in the wild—especially when they bring the kids along. The sun is out, the rainforest is steaming, and these two are making the most of a fresh morning.
