Very proud of our little pub today 🤎

At just 30, Tegan Young is one of Australia's youngest female pub owners, and together with partner Scott Craig, has taken on the historic Dalgety Hotel in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. She aims to preserve a sense of “old-school” hospitality and make it the sort of place where “people can feel welcome no matter where they come from”. “I mean you have got your shearers having a yarn in the front bar and I want to keep it casual,” Tegan says. “When you get your meal it’s all old-style country, so you are served by the publican or the publican’s mum, or the publican’s best friend. We do it because we love it and you come here because you love it. An Australian country town isn’t a country town without an authentic family pub. They are the heart of the town.”
