Permanently closed.

Kooljaman at Cape Leveque - IS CLOSED - is a unique wilderness camp nestled on the
pristine coast at the northern tip of the Dampier Peninsula. The campgrounds
take in sone of the most iconic vistas that the Kimberley has to offer. From the vivid, red cliffs across the luminous white sands scattered with
strands of pandanus palms and down to the extraordinarily clear turquoise
water of the Ind

ian ocean, this is truly a place of breathtaking beauty. Kooljaman was established in 1986 and is jointly owned by Djarindjin and One Arm Point (Ardyaloon) communities.

Unfortunately Kooljaman is currently closed and as we don’t have a reopening date it is not possible to take any bookings for future stays.

As Kooljaman is located on private property, there is no access to the beach or cliffs at the property during this closure.

If you would like to go on a cultural tour with Brian Lee Tagalong Tours or Bundy’s Cultural Tours, these can be booked via Djarindjin Campground online - Book Online | Djarindjin Campground
or you can email: [email protected] or call 0447 513 123

The communities of Djarindjin and Ardyaloon remain optimistic about the future reopening of Kooljaman.

KOOLJAMAN IS CLOSED FOR 2022/23 SEASON.

14/10/2021

Dear Guests,

Thank you for choosing Kooljaman at Cape Leveque.

It is extremely unfortunate and with heavy hearts, that we must announce from November 1st 2021, we will be closing, due to the requirements for major upgrades to continue to meet compliance standards and guest expectations.

The communities of Ardyaloon and Djarindjin remain optimistic about the future of Kooljaman and are seeking the support of State and Federal Government agencies and Trading Enterprises to assist with the progression of our long-term plans.

All bookings past 1 November will be refunded in full and we ask you to bear with us and be patient on receipt of any refunded payments. We will be working through in order of date priority and endeavouring to complete this as quickly as we can.

If you are on the Dampier Peninsula and would like to go on one of the cultural tours previously offered at Kooljaman, these will still be operating from the Djarindjin Road House; Brian Lee Tagalong Tour; Bundy’s Cultural Tours; Lullum Tours.

Once again, we sincerely thank you for your continued support and sincerely regret having to pass on this news and the impact it will have on all our guests.

Best Regards
Kooljaman Management

Fantastic Opportunities do Exist!🤩☀

Looking to get away from it all and spend some well-earned downtime in paradise? Look no further, we have vacancies! Sadly due to border closures, we have received cancellations for our peak period. A win for people looking for somewhere to escape to but a loss for those unable to visit us here in the West.

What can you do here, well let me tell you - come snorkeling around our reefs, try your hand at fishing off our beautiful sandy beaches, or maybe you have a boat and wish to check out other fishing opportunities. Did I also mention the fantastic swimming beach where the water is at the right temperature and crystal clear all day! End your day with our famous sunsets sitting on the beach or even from our deck, off the restaurant...what more could you ask for? 😃

Oh, did I mention we have whales coming through for the next few months? Our dolphins are around too, not to mention that the turtles and stingrays are out and about too!

Call us to make a booking now on (08) 9192 4970 or visit our website at www.kooljaman.com.au and book from there, you won't be disappointed!

See you soon in paradise!!
