Update on Tania.. She is doing ok now and is stable (she's one lucky girl 🙏🙌✨️)
Tania went in for major surgery on 7th Sep for quite a few different procedures and 2 days later had some bladder complications with 2 failed tests that meant a catheter in for 2 weeks, Tania was sent home for 9 days with the catheter in to try to allow swelling to go down and more time for healing, she then was re-admitted back to hospital on Monday 21st Sep following a 4th failed test and was promptly sent back in theatre for bladder surgery.
Monday night Tania experienced some left leg cramping post surgery which was investigated Tuesday morning and they found 2 very long superficial blood clots in both of her legs so she was immediately given anticoagulant injections, then on Wednesday afternoon Tania started getting side rib area pains that turned into stabbing so she was sent for a urgent CT late that afternoon, the result was another shock and it showed multiple (to many to count) small blood clots in both of her lungs in the lower lung areas which is called Pulmonary Embolism so the doctor immediately increased the injections to full dose. She is still currently in hospital and is stable but in pain, extremely scared and in a sence of shock which is understandable given the unfortunate situation.
Tania will go onto tablets Monday and hopefully get to come home early next week all going well 🤞she will be on medication for at least 6 months and it will be a long recovery from what's happened, the treating doctor has said flying to Europe is not recommended and is too risky given the extent of the blood clots and risk of bleeding so we are cancelling our much anticipated Europe holiday 😞
