Luxury Accommodation in a 3brm Queenslander surrounded by stunning views. It received little water, no maintenance and produced beautiful flowers.

Blue Ridge Lavender Cottage is Located on scenic route no.29 and is only a 45 minutes drive from the heart of Brisbane city and the airport. The idea of growing lavender stemmed from one original French lavender plant simply growing in the garden. With no background in commercial growing, but a love of gardening and the joy of watching a plant develop through the seasons a decision was made to pro

pagate from this original plant as well as purchase other lavender seedling varieties. The farm is now in the process of determining which varieties suit this environment and is also very proud of adopting organic farming methods. The farm sells fresh cut flowers to local florists and uses the lavender leaves and flower buds in its handmade, chemical free Lavender Products. Blue Ridge Lavender Farm also offers Retreat Accommodation in a beautifully restored Queenslander which overlooks the lavender field and is surrounded by rolling blue hills, national parks and plenty of local attractions to visit and Things to Do. The Retreat offers its guests the opportunity to sample an all natural, hand made chemical free lavender skin care and bathing range. We invite you to come and spend some time relaxing on the farm. Soak up the country charm and hospitality, be pampered and let the lavender work its magic.

…….a big thank you to be dear friend Joe who helped out this morning picking well over 2000 stems of lavender.
They will be on sale tomorrow at Brookside Markets, Mitchelton . Look out for Joe’s stall he will also be selling a great selection of plants including lavender.

……Thinking about growing lavender? Here are a few golden rules for success:

🌿 Good drainage is essential.
Build a small mound of soil and plant your lavender on top. This helps prevent the roots from sitting in wet soil.

💜 Don’t overwater.
Water your lavender regularly after planting until you see new growth. Once established, it rarely needs watering unless you’re experiencing prolonged drought conditions.

……another perfect winters day Blue Ridge Lavender Cottage . We have been very busy over the school holidays with back to back bookings.
We still have some vacancies during August . The lavender will still be in flower and we are just a couple of kms from the charming country town of Dayboro which offers great cafes and quaint shops to explore. Plenty to do in the area from horse riding to bush walking.

Lavender Season @ Blue Ridge Lavender Cottage 💜

We grow French lavender (Lavandula dentata) because it has adapted exceptionally well to the weather conditions of South East Queensland.

This year we’ve also planted some Ploughman’s Blue, a stunning variety of French lavender. As you can see from the photos, the flowers are a much deeper purple, with longer, stronger flower stems. It is an absolutely beautiful plant and a wonderful addition to our lavender gardens.

Come and soak up the lavender magic, enjoy the peaceful country atmosphere, and experience the beauty of the lavender in full bloom.
