If you’re interested in relaxing by a river in comfort then you should spoil yourself. Hay maybe take a group of friends along to Merrijig at the foot of Mt Buller Victoria. Find a spot to stay either via Airbnb or Stayz and search Daylesford on the Delatite. Yep there you will find the ever flowing Delatite river.

Since the 2021 ski season at Mt Buller was interrupted by lock downs a different experience was enjoyed by many of my guests opting to take up a late Spring early Summer stay. Many experienced Mt Buller without the snow that cost only a feed at cafes and were all delighted with the experience. At no extra cost was a dip in the Delatite River that runs through the end of Daylesford on Delatite where they stay. As well a visit to the Delatite Winery and trips to lake Eildon. All were amazed at the experience which they would not have had because they would have spent most of the time in snow. Also there is a lot of fresh air all year around away from covid when staying around Merrijig. A drive from Daylesford through 5 Shires with plenty to see along the way will take none stop two and three quater Hour’s to Mansfeild.

Its now 3 years since changing accommodation from Daylesford to Merrijig at the foot of Mt Buller and by the Delatite river. The more modern Villa accommodates up to 9 people is fully self contained, not isolated as is close to many attractions and maintains the country outlook. Big discounts for long stays when booking direct.

Hi all I sold this property at the end of 2015. New owner suse it now as self contained. I now have Daylesford on Delatite which is at Merrijig at the foot of Mount Buller. Great spot by the river Delatite

The Station House had a nice Indian chap fit globes recently under the government scheme to reduce carbon emissions. He worked hard but I am not so sure that the globes he said had 20,000 hours life will go the distance as many have started to pop. I note many were the Mirrabella brand. Then he fitted draft stoppers to 5 chimneys where the stoppers like a plastic ballon were so undersize they were later removed for good as they were useless more so a hazard and a waste of taxpayers funds.
I doubt that any of the programs to reduce carbon emission have been necessary.
Such examples: I had hot water services installed that made so much noise from fans within and did not reduce power so they had to be turned off just to get the quiet back.
Then sola panels were installed which also had no impact in reduction as the interest lost on spending money to install the system was not offset by any saving in reductions. The impute from sola back into the grid was resold back after the power came back through the Smart meter and the reduction in some power meant the retailer charged the higher the rate per kilowatt per hour.
Give in one hand and take back in the other hand. Hmmmm
