It’s been 32 years since Barry & Jane first started welcoming guests to Deep Creek.

Through changing seasons, natural disasters, and big shifts in tourism, they built one of the only accommodation experiences within the national park, and invited people to share in exploring this remarkable corner of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The landscape continues to recover following the February bushfires, and signs of regeneration are popping up throughout the park!

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.

The regeneration we love to see!

Following the February bushfires in Deep Creek National Park, the landscape has slowly been springing back to life. Xanthorrhoea’s already sending up new flower spikes, fresh fungi emerging from the forest floor, and epicormic growth is appearing on fire-affected trees.

Australian bushland has an incredible ability to regenerate, even after intense fire.

Thanks to Barry for capturing these moments of recovery.
