We’re so proud to share that Dirk Hartog Island has been named a finalist in the 2026 WA Tourism Awards, in two categories:

Unique Accommodation, DHI Lodge
Adventure Tourism, Island Life Adventures

At the far western edge of Australia, this island asks something of everyone who comes here. It asks us to tread lightly, to listen to its stories, and to leave more than we take.

Recognition belongs to our team, who go above and beyond, and to everyone who has made the journey to the island to experience it with us.

It also reflects the island itself. It is wild, it is remote, and it is slowly coming back to life through the Return to 1616 restoration, a project we’re proud to contribute to.
