You may want to reconsider your plans for the day 🤍
Because when you wake to sweeping views across Wilson Inlet and the Southern Ocean, leaving your suite suddenly feels considerably less important🌊
Especially when there’s a private balcony for morning coffee, a sumptuous king bed made for slow starts, and an indulgent round double bath positioned so you can sink in and keep right on admiring the view ☕🛁
Stay for another coffee. Run the bath. Watch the light change across the water.

Keep one eye on the horizon. Whale season is still putting on a show 🐋🌊
Each year, humpback and southern right whales make their extraordinary journey along our Great Southern coastline… and October is a beautiful time to catch the tail end of the migration.
You might spot the tell-tale puff of a blow on the horizon, a tail disappearing beneath the surface or, if luck is on your side, the unforgettable sight of a whale breaching from the Southern Ocean.
Head to Conspicuous Cliff with a pair of binoculars for one of the region’s beautiful whale-watching vantage points, or keep watch as you explore Denmark’s coastline.
Morning coffee. Wilson Inlet stretching out before you. A whale passing in the distance.

Wildflower season is in full bloom in Denmark 🌸🌿
From August through November, our forests, trails and coastal heath come alive with Western Australia’s extraordinary native blooms… and October is one of the best times to see them at their peak.
Look for flashes of scarlet banksia and red kangaroo paw, delicate boronias, and tiny native orchids hiding amongst the undergrowth.
And if you’re staying with us, there are some beautiful places to go looking.
🌿 Explore the trails around Mount Lindesay, renowned for its diversity of spring wildflowers.
🌸 Take the scenic route along Scotsdale Road and wander through Harewood Forest beneath the towering karri.

🌿 WE’RE HIRING – HOUSEKEEPING STAFF 🌿

Chimes Spa Retreat is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Housekeeping Team Member to join our small, friendly team in Denmark.

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces and enjoys working as part of a team.

✨ What the role involves:

* Cleaning and servicing our 10 guest rooms and communal areas
* Restocking supplies and preparing for the following day
* Assisting with general house duties, including laundry and kitchen areas
* Opportunities to train and work in other areas of Chimes

🕘 Shifts are generally 9am–1pm, including weekdays and weekends. These hours can work particularly well for anyone looking for shorter daytime shifts, including parents wanting to work during school hours.

Staff incentives are also available.

Denmark is even more enchanting in the spring 🌿

Soft morning light across Wilson Inlet. Blue wrens dancing in the garden. Wildflowers creating vibrant bursts of colour beneath the Karri canopy. The promise of a beautiful day stretching out ahead… and suddenly breakfast seems worthy of a second coffee ☕✨

So you stay awhile.

Start slowly and ease into a day of forest walks and fresh air, warm spa treatments and long lunches. Find a sunny spot. Open the Riesling. Let the afternoon unfold without asking too much of it. 🥂

And if your only achievement is feeling considerably better than you did when you arrived? We’d call that a day very well spent.

Some rooms invite you to stay. The Loft makes a rather convincing case for moving in 🤍

Upstairs, a king bed tucked beneath the soaring ceiling and a private balcony overlooking the ocean.

Downstairs, a deep spa bath waiting to be filled, a reading nook that may finally get you past chapter three, and enough space to properly settle in 🌿

Leave the book open. Pour another glass. Take the long bath. Wander upstairs barefoot when you’re finally ready for bed.
