The Dorset Hotel has been part of Derby for generations. We're the place where muddy mountain bikers celebrate an epic day on the trails, locals catch up over a beer, travellers swap stories and families settle in for a great meal.
We're proud of what we do. We work hard, have a laugh, back each other up and genuinely enjoy coming to work.

ABOUT YOU
You're the sort of person who naturally takes charge when things get busy.
You love hospitality because you love people.
You know how to lead a team without making a big song and dance about it. You keep calm under pressure, you're just as happy pouring beers on a packed Friday night as you are helping train a new team member, and you don't mind rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in alongside the crew.
You're also the sort of person who likes having their ducks in a row. Whether it's getting the paperwork sorted, following up on the little jobs, keeping on top of stock, or making sure nothing falls through the cracks, you know that a great venue doesn't run on good intentions alone. It's the little things done well that make the big things look easy.
Most of all, you lead by example. You bring good energy to every shift, support your team when the pressure's on, and genuinely enjoy creating an atmosphere that keeps both locals and visitors coming back.
