🐴🌿 More Than Just a Social Activity 🌿🐴

At Totoka Lodge, we provide NDIS Group and Social Activities in a welcoming farm environment where participants can connect with others, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful experiences alongside our horses and animals.

Our horses are at the heart of what we do. Many participants find that spending time with horses and other animals helps them feel more relaxed, comfortable, and confident while engaging in social activities and trying new experiences.

Our sessions provide opportunities to:
✨ Connect with peers in a supportive environment
✨ Participate in horse and animal care activities
✨ Enjoy outdoor and farm-based experiences
✨ Learn new skills and take on new challenges
✨ Build social connections within the community
✨ Be part of a fun, inclusive, and welcoming group

Whether participants are grooming horses, helping with farm activities, working alongside animals, or simply enjoying time outdoors, every session is designed to encourage participation, connection, and community involvement.

At Totoka Lodge, we believe some of the best conversations, friendships, and experiences happen when animals bring people together. πŸ’™

πŸ’™πŸ΄ Staff Appreciation Post πŸ΄πŸ’™

At Totoka Lodge, our horses may be the heart of what we do, but our incredible team are the hands, minds, and compassionate souls that make everything possible.

Every day, our staff go above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for our participants. Whether they're leading sessions, caring for our horses, supporting families, completing paperwork behind the scenes, or lending a helping hand wherever it's needed, their dedication never goes unnoticed.

What makes our team so special isn't just their knowledge or skillsβ€”it's their kindness, patience, and genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed.

Thank you for the early mornings, the late afternoons, the muddy boots, the endless horse cuddles, the laughter, the teamwork, and the care you bring to Totoka Lodge each and every day.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and proud to have such an amazing team supporting our participants, families, and horses.

Please join us in showing some appreciation for our wonderful Totoka Lodge team! πŸ’™βœ¨

Meet & Greet Monday πŸ’›πŸ΄

This week we’re excited to introduce Kiana Williams!

Kiana brings a genuine love and respect for horses, along with a strong belief in the lessons they teach us every day. She values the patience, trust, and connection that grows through working with them, and finds it deeply rewarding to build meaningful bonds with each horse she spends time with.

At Totoka Lodge, Kiana feels most connected to Goblin, describing him as a loving horse who always wants to please people 🀍

In Kiana’s words, Totoka Lodge is: Loving, Empowering, Fun!

Outside of Totoka Lodge, Kiana is surrounded by animals β€” including five horses (Tc, Lacoda, George, Christina, and Oscar) and a Kelpie named Patrick. She also has experience working on both cattle and sheep stations across QLD and NSW, bringing a wealth of hands-on knowledge and country experience.

When she’s not with animals, you might find her enjoying The Man from Snowy River, or listening on repeat to β€œAll I See Is You” by Shane Smith & the Saints 🎢

We’re so happy to have Kiana as part of the Totoka Lodge team! 🌿🐴

🐴🌟 Meet & Greet Monday – Lynne T 🌟🐴

This week we're excited to introduce Lynne!

πŸ’› What do you enjoy most about working with horses?
"I love seeing them engage and regulate with each participant in their own individual way. Watching them tap into that shows just how clever they are. That makes me smile... a lot!"

🐴 Which horse at Totoka Lodge would be your best friend and why?
"To be honest, I love all of the horses here, but the standout horse for me is definitely Alice. She has a sense of calmness about her which I love. In my eyes, she is the Belle of the Ball."

✨ Describe Totoka Lodge in three words.
Sky's the Limit

🐱 Do you have any pets?
"I have two black and white cats. Trix is the oldest at 6 years old and has a very calm and relaxed nature. Fleur is 3, a sassy little thing, quite cheeky, and definitely has a bit of cattitude!"

🎡 If you had to listen to one song on repeat, what would it be?
Capricorn Dancer by Richard Clapton

🎬 Favourite movie?
St Elmo's Fire

🌟 Fun Facts About Lynne
β€’ She makes soap as a hobby when she gets the chance.
β€’ She's very slowly teaching herself to play the harmonica.
β€’ She proudly wears odd socks!

We're so lucky to have Lynne as part of the Totoka Lodge team. Her calm, caring nature and love for both people and horses shine through in everything she does. πŸ’›
