Staying with us over the summer holiday? The newest addition to the Silo Art Trail is now open!!

Located about 45 minutes north of Dimboola the Rainbow Silo Art is not to be missed.

While heading north check out the Arkona Silo Art, Wimmera Mallee Pioneer Museum in Jeparit, Rainbow Lake, Yurunga Homestead in Rainbow, and the Main Street of Rainbow with its own large Rainbow (ideal for taking selfies).

|| LITTLE DESERT BUSHFIRE THANK YOU EVENT THIS SATURDAY ||

Don’t forget to join us this Saturday 29 March 2025 at Dimboola Soundshell for our Little Desert Bushfire Thank you Event starting at 6pm.

We will have live music from 'Dog and Bass’ and ‘Headrush’, student art displays, face painting, giant games, popcorn, Toby’s Sky Tours and a bushfire photo slideshow.

Food will be available from vendors including the Lions Club BBQ, Hotbox, Lots of Laughter, Chris & Ann’s Quick Bites, Big Bertha, Caffe de Kerb and Tr4ces Treatz.

An auction will take place during the night with all proceeds going to local CFA Brigades - see poster for more details on what will be up for grabs!

BYO Alcohol, Chairs and Blankets.

The Dimboola Rowing Club’s new beer garden will also be open (no BYO) to purchase drinks at their premises.

The Dimboola Soundshell and Recreation Reserve is ‘the place to be’ on Saturday 29 March 2025, and we invite you to join us to recognise and thank emergency services, volunteers and emergency response staff for their incredible efforts in controlling and eventually containing the Little Desert bushfire.

The Little Desert Bushfire Community Thank You Event will commence at 6:00pm, with live music performances from ‘Dog and Bass’, followed by ‘Head Rush’ from 7:30pm. Please bring your own refreshments, chairs and blankets.

|| OPEN THIS WEEKEND ||

We are excited to announce that the Riverside Holiday Park Dimboola will be re-opening this weekend.

Please encourage your family and friends to book and spend time in Dimboola to assist our region to rebound from the Little Desert Bushfire.

The park is looking amazing with beautiful lush green grass and spotless amenities after being given a big spring clean.

We look forward to seeing you all back in Dimboola and visiting our region.

|| PARK RE-OPENING UPDATE ||

We have been working closely with the Incident Control Centre (ICC) in relation to the re-opening of the Riverside Holiday Park Dimboola.

The current road closure that is in place before the park should be removed early next week. This will allow us to have a contractor come in and inspect the trees in the park for any dangers following the fire (as the fire did reach trees on the edge of the park).

The road will still be closed out to Horseshoe bend and the Golf Club.

Safety of visitors is our highest priority, so once any works determined to be necessary following the tree inspection have been completed we should be ok to re-open.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we could possibly re-open as early as next weekend.

Please keep an eye on our page for further updates as we work through re-opening.

|| DIMBOOLA RIVERSIDE HOLIDAY PARK CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ||

Due to the current active bushfire in the Little Desert that is impacting our region, the Dimboola Riverside Holiday Park is currently closed until further notice for guests to provide support accommodation for emergency services. Our three alternate parks in Jeparit, Rainbow, and Nhill have limited availability.

Council is working through contacting guests that have bookings at the holiday park to discuss their options.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the current bushfire on our doorstep.

|| JOIN OUR TEAM - NHILL HOLIDAY PARK CARETAKER ||

Permanent Part Time
(37.5 hours a week, including weekends)

Hindmarsh Shire Council has recently taken on management of the Nhill Holiday Park.

We are seeking a motivated person to take on the caretaking role and cement the Nhill Holiday Park as a fantastic place to stay by ensuring a welcoming and clean environment. Duties will include maintenance of the grounds, collection of fees and cleaning of amenities and cabins.

This position would suit someone looking to take on weekend work, as you will be required to work Thursday through to Monday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. We are seeking someone who is organised, can work independently to a high standard, and who enjoys contributing to a team and the community through their work.

We are seeking a self-motivated person to clean the accommodation facilities, amenities blocks, and undertake laundry duties at the park.

This position would suit someone looking to take on work during school hours and weekends. We are seeking someone who is organised, can work independently to a high standard, and who enjoys contributing to a team and the community through their work.
