Humans of Melbourne have summed our feelings up so well. Melbourne we ❤️ you

Just in case anyone forgets, this is what we are fighting for...
To be able to wander across Princes Bridge in summer and watch a glorious sunset.
To be able to see our loved ones whenever we want.
To grab a drink with friends on the banks of the Yarra.
To be able to see a mate, throw your arms around them and squeeze them tight.
In the grand scheme of things, 42 days is a breeze.
I would love to make a pact with all of you legends. A lot of us will be spending a lot of time online in the next 6 weeks. It is more important now than ever, that we remain positive for ourselves and our loved ones.
I promise I will keep on posting really positive content. I would love for you all to keep up your positivity in the comments as per usual. Not just here, but anywhere else you go on social media. It’s never been more important. This is a time for spreading love and gratitude for what we have. Not for spreading negativity and hate for what we don’t have right now.
We, the Humans in Melbourne and Victoria, truly are all in this together. We need to let this bind us rather than break us. Tough times build great people and just think of the stories you’ll have to tell in the years to come.

This has been a challenging time and your travel plans may have been disrupted. But travel restrictions are starting to ease and we look forward to welcoming you back. The hostel is open and we have been hard at work making sure we can offer you a Safe Stay under COVID-19 guidelines. There are changes to room occupancies, and social distancing applies across the hostel.
