There’s something about winter weekends in the hinterland that makes every stop feel warmer.

A slow drive from Dorrigo through misty rainforest roads… an afternoon drink at the Federal Hotel with live music drifting out onto Hyde Street… then back to Ivy House for a fire, good wine and stories that somehow last longer in the colder months.

For the food lovers, the weekend can easily turn into a little gastro trail through Bellingen — from long lunches at Three Blue Ducks, Bellingen to relaxed dinners at Charlie’s at church and local craft brews at The Bellingen Brewery & Co..🍷
