With space for up to six people per site, it’s island camping made for families, friends and anyone looking to spend a little longer outdoors.

Set at the end of the jetty, Dunk Island’s restaurant is made for long lunches, afternoon drinks and catching up with the people who matter.

Come for breakfast, stay for lunch or settle in for a drink as the sea breeze rolls through. No rush, no fuss, just good food and plenty of time to enjoy the day.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from 8:30am.

Breakfast and lunch are walk-in friendly. Dinner by reservation for overnight guests.

Planning a visit to Dunk Island? Here’s what’s happening over the coming months.

After the Queensland School Holidays from Wednesday 7 October through October, we’ll return to operating Wednesday to Sunday.

From Monday 2 November, we’ll move into our reduced seasonal operating model:

🌴 Ferry & Restaurant
Open Saturdays and Sundays through to Sunday 27 December 2026.

⛺ Beachfront Eco Tents
Closed from Monday 2 November 2026.

The ferry schedule will also change from 2 November:
Mission Beach → Dunk Island

12:30pm

Dunk Island → Mission Beach
11:30am
2:30pm
3:30pm

Seasonal closure

From Monday 28 December 2026, visitor operations will pause for our seasonal closure through to Easter 2027. Our Bayside Campsites will remain open year-round.

This break will give us time to undertake site improvements and sand nourishment works as we continue investing in Dunk Island and preparing for the season ahead.

We’ll share further updates as we get closer to each seasonal change. 🌴

OPEN 7 DAYS QLD SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Our restaurant and ferry will be operating 7 days a week between 21 September till 4 October.

The holidays they'll remember won't be the ones spent in front of a screen.
