Minjerribah Camping

Minjerribah Camping Beach front camping grounds on 'Minjerribah' North Stradbroke Island, just off the coast of Brisbane, South East Queensland
(727)

Easy access island camping on idyllic North Stradbroke Island. The island is driving distance from both Brisbane & the Gold Coast, and has an abundance of activities for all ages and fitness levels. Popular with surfers, boaties and fishing enthusiasts, the island also offers scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, and bush walking. It is renowned for dolphins, turtles, manta-rays, kangaroos and koalas,

and offers superb shore views of the annual humpback whale migration.

6 beachfront camping grounds offer powered and unpowered sites for tents, camper trailers and caravans, as well as 20 fully equipped cabins. For a more 'back to nature' camping getaway, there are also hundreds of dog-friendly campsites nestled among sand dunes overlooking the island's iconic white sandy beaches. The business is a partnership between the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) as shareholders, trustee and Traditional owners of the land, and Indigenous Business Australia (IBA), a Commonwealth Statutory Authority, as the key investor. The joint venture operates the township camping grounds under Trustee Leases and manages the Main and Flinders Beach camping areas under a Service Agreement where Straddie Camping performs services in the Minjerribah Recreation Area on behalf of QYAC and the State of Queensland.
