In August 2019, a local family with over 20 years experience in the backpacker industry, purchased the iconic Melbourne hostel - Home at the Mansion. Since then, a passionate team have worked feverishly to give this stunning heritage listed building, a face-lift of grand proportions.

We are now super excited to launch our fancy new brand, to compliment a fully renovated interior, introducing The Mansion Melbourne. Here you will discover a fusion of chilled vibes, heritage charm, stylish spaces and a fabulous team, at your service, 24 hours a day. Featuring all of your cravable comforts such as free Wi-Fi, lavish new beds, a sweet bar & café and co-working spaces, we promise you’ll feel right at home.

The Mansion is superbly located in the middle of it all. A few paces to the left and you'll be exploring Melbourne’s graffiti covered laneways. Cross the road and you’ll be on Brunswick Street in Melbourne's hipster capital, Fitzroy. Or if you want some quiet time relax with a book in Carlton or Fitzroy Gardens. With multiple free trams and Parliament Train Station within a stone's throw, you'll be living like a local in no time.

With 14 newly renovated rooms over three levels, connected by a grand double spiral staircase, we are just the right amount of fancy. We know your expectations are high when looking for a place to lay your precious head. You will not be disappointed at The Mansion.
