Happy Easter everyone! The Garden of Eden is happy , kids running wild, laughter everywhere, and good vibes. It’s so good to see everyone enjoying themselves and making the most of it. Honestly, there’s no better place to be this weekend—hope you’re all soaking it up and having a Fabulous Easter!

This is now an unacceptable and ongoing problem. Our bottom flat, which backs onto a creek behind our fence line owned and managed by Crown/Council, has once again flooded due to the complete lack of maintenance, with the creek not being cleaned or cleared since at least this time last year. As a direct result, floodwater has backed up into our park, bringing debris, destroying sections of fencing, and rendering multiple sites unusable. We have been forced to urgently relocate at least 40 people into cabins because their sites were under water. This situation is entirely preventable and should never have been allowed to reach this point again. Immediate action is required to properly maintain the creek and seriously consider opening the lake to the ocean so water can flow past our park instead of repeatedly flooding it. Continued inaction is no longer acceptable.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to postpone our annual New Year’s Eve party due to the weather.

With the conditions as they are, everyone’s safety is our top priority, and we don’t want to take any risks.

We’ll be rescheduling the event for later this week a new date will be confirmed soon.
