Well done Brian!

The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship has come to a close, and what a fantastic event it was! This year, we had hundreds of fishing enthusiasts flock to our region, all eager to catch the big one.

Congratulations to Brian Baker from Noarlunga Downs for clinching first place with a 4.994 kg salmon caught at Talia Beach. After four years of trying, Brian's hard work has paid off, and he will be taking home the $2000 prize. Great job, Brian!

Brian Hallett took second place with a solid 4.366 kg catch, while Andrew Timmermans secured third place. Andrew’s dedication, with multiple trips to the area, earned him $500.

A special shoutout to L. Mirabella from Bushfield, Victoria, who won the final mystery weight prize. His fish weighed 0.528 kg, just shy of the mystery weight of 0.557 kg. Well done on snagging that prize!

A huge thank you to our sponsors for their incredible support—this event wouldn’t be possible without you. And a big thank you to all the competitors who made this year’s championship memorable. We can't wait to welcome you back next year!
