Just letting everyone know that there is a special market on this Monday in Victor.
The Victor Harbor Beachside Market will be on from 9am to 3pm on the Esplanade. There will be plenty of wonderfully stocked stalls, including my honey, beeswax wraps, and hand made soap stall.

Endeavour and One and All chance meeting

The two tall ships will meet in Encounter Bay, Victor Harbor.

Two of Australia's iconic tall ships will travel to Victor Harbor, and meet in Encounter Bay on Wednesday February 17th 2016 between 8.00am. - 10.00am.
The voyage of the Endeavour into Adelaide waters was an opportunity the One and All Captain did not want to miss, and the two ships have decided to 're-create' the historical encounter between Cpt Nicholas Baudin and Cpt Matthew Flinders who met in the same bay on 8 April 1802. Whilst not on the same date, it's an excellent opportunity for the re-creation and a very exciting opportunity for people to see two spectacular tall ships in Encounter Bay.

TWO southern right whales spotted off the Fleurieu Peninsula are believed to be the first seen for the 2015 season.

Encounter Coast is an important area for viewing of Southern Right Whales and their calves between May and September. The area offers exceptional land-based whale watching opportunities and attracts tens of thousands of people annually. Southern Right Whales are an endangered species so please make sure you follow the guidelines for safe whale watching.

Personal watercraft (such as jet skis) must keep a distance of 300 metres from any marine mammal (whales, dolphins, seals etc) in all coastal waters and are prohibited from launching and must not operate a PWC within the Victor Harbor Restriction Zone during whale season.
