We hope you’re enjoying the adventures of your weekend, including the 4 hours of no power we had yesterday arvo/evening, as we say goodbye to Autumn 🍂 and head into Winter ❄️

Lasagne on the chef specials today 🤤 and a few specials in the works for the coming season 😋🙌🏼

To help us farewell Autumn, the incredible duo Harpin' On are live in the bar from 2pm today 🎸🎙️ with some great tunes for us to enjoy during Sunday Sippers 🥃

Just one week to go until the Snow Season officially kicks off 🎿 with some great family fun activities happening at Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort 🏔️ check out their socials and website for all the info — by the forecast, it looks to be a snowy week ahead ready for a fun opening weekend 🌨️

Talk about throwing a spanner in the works 🔧

Power went out at 3:18pm this afternoon and as we wait for power to be restored, the pub remains closed.

Originally, 4:34pm was the estimated restoration time and, while power came back on briefly, it was gone seconds later.

For now we wait until AusNet do their bit and get power restored to the community.

It’s been a hot minute — and what a week!

Monday - AHA Vic State Awards for Excellence
Tuesday - Year 9 students in for dinner as part of their school camp ⛺️
Wednesday - welcoming locals and visitors alike
Thursday - deliveries incoming from 10am�Friday - happy hour, meat tray raffle, catching up with the locals 👊🏼
Saturday - birthday celebrations happening right here at the pub 🎂

and today - Sunday Sippers with Leeroy Live 🎸🥃

With just two weeks until the opening of the snow season, it looks like we’ve got some rain coming next week as the weather cools down before winter kicks off 🥶

We didn't take home the trophy this time — but being a finalist in 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 - 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 at the AHA Vic State of Excellence Awards in our first year of entering? We'll absolutely take that. 🏆

Massive congratulations to Five Flags Hotel- Campbells Creek and Western Hotel, Ballarat on your joint win — well deserved. 🥳 and sharing the room with Stoff & Mez from Victoria Hotel Dimboola was a blast — we were right there cheering when they picked up Bush Pub of the Year. 🏕️ Legends.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists across every category 🥇

Nights like this are a good reminder of just how much pubs mean — a place for locals to catch up, for car and bike clubs to roll into town, for 4WD and hunting crews to make their checkpoint, for groups to celebrate their victories — and for some, to sit quietly and treasure a memory.
