Walhalla was the last gazetted town in mainland Australia to be connected to the mains power grid, with the connection completed on December 21, 1998

Easter is just around the corner so now is time to make sure you’re all prepared for what will be a busy period.

Note that over Easter, there will be additional Walhalla Goldfields Railway services and mine tours but you still need to plan ahead and pre-book to avoid disappointment.

Hazelnut Valley is a working Hazelnut Farm located along the Tyres River. We are an easy 2-hour drive from CBD Melbourne so we are a great location for either short or long stays. - Pet friendly, dogs must be on a leash or contained at all times. - Campfires permitted in designated areas when rest.....
