Talking to Adam - here on his own retreat at Alaya Ascend - about the necessity for him to empty his cup of stress, negativity and worry and fill his cup with calm, nature and a sense of peace.

Having a staff of 300 and enormous responsibility requires thst he focuses his time, energy and attention on ensuring that he is operating on all cyclinders as a non-negotiable. Otherwise, things deteriorate in him and around him.

You turn up, settle into your room, do things on your terms - spa, fireplace, glass of vino, your choice - then book in for some state change.

Sauna - pool - cold tub - hot tub - repeat.... then floatation tank and a massage.

Good luck doing anything after all of that!

When you recover from your recovery, feeling a million dollars, hit the beaches, markets, shops, cafes all around us.

Does Sauna make you look younger?

Well, yes, obviously! Going ok for a 70-year old 😁.

Seriously, anybody can do a search on AI around the benefits of sauna (look up Rhonda Patrick).

My experiences across 10 years, is that sauna completely shifts your STATE.

From stressed to grateful. From wound up to calm. From exhausted to relaxed.

There is a reason that there are 2 Saunas for every 3 Finnish people, because they are unbelievable.

We use them to prepare for our magnesium floatation tank.

Coupled with cold plunge, your brain dumps chemicals that just knock you sideways.

We are in the midst of nature also, so no artificial lights, concrete walls or noise pollution.

Surreal. Get around it!

State change and a full reset from the nonsense of the mind doesn't require hours of sitting in meditation (although that helps).

Thermal tubs, steam rooms, saunas are amazing for revitalising ourselves.

Sleep improves, present-moment awareness amplifies, a calmness and a sense of appreciation takes over.

And all you have to do is walk in and immerse!

Sarah and Steve experiencing Alaya Ascend in full with a Decompression Process: Sauna - Pool - Cold Tub Immersion (repeated), followed by a 90 minute sensory deprivation tank experience and a 60-minute massage each.

Sometimes the hardest thing is leaning into the discomfort to gain new capacities and sense of agency.

First effort in the cold was under 20 seconds then out. Second effort with focused attention - 6 minutes and 5 minutes. Respect 🙏.

It's not a competition, but it does tell us a lot about the benefits and strengths of a focused attention AND surrendering to what turns up.

Changed their state, completely present, let go of 'stress', built comfidence from doung something new past where they thought they could get to. All before factoring in the neurochemical explosion happening inside them and the sense of euphoric calm that this sequence brings.

Its an amazing feeling to be able to pass this on to absolutely terrific people. They deserve every moment of their experience.
