Resting after the storm 💨 🌧️

Just like us after a big night, or when we’ve been under stress, the horses are exhausted being on watch all night with the wind. We know it’s unlikely for these guys but as prey animals wind makes everything restless. They’re all enjoying a well earned rest after a wild night.

I love my job 🥰🙏🏻

I love working with ADHD kids. I’ve seen them in the classroom setting. Really struggling. Teacher talking down about them ‘just wanting to get out of doing work’. I just want to pick them up, tell them how special they are and one day they’re going to do something amazing 🤩

So beautiful 🥰💖

S H E E P.

For anyone that has sheep you’ll know that they can be very determined and a little bit quirky.

Well these girls are always keeping us entertained. The follow us everywhere and sometimes you have to hide from them. Taking a break and having a cuppa I see the casually stroll into our house with Collette leading the flock. 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

No messes but it was a bit stinky after they left 😝

Follow along for their next adventure.

Herd dynamics

Don’t get me wrong. Ella is lead mare so has strong opinions about things. She’s also very food motivated. This is a pretty typical example of herd dynamics. I missed the initial argument over the food.
I think Ella and Tyson has some kind of telepathy. She was nowhere to be seen when I put the food out but Tyson was hovering. Then she appears. These two are like a gang lurking around bossing everyone.
In the end I took the feed away, let Ella and Tyson head to the stables where I locked them in a let Leo finish his feed in peace.
For the most part I seperate the horses before they get their food but Blacki was already in the shed and wouldn’t come out. I like to protect her from this kind of ruckus because I don’t like her old body to have try and get out of their way.

The whole situation is ridiculous.

This is my take on the whole NDIS situation:

I used to build databases many lives ago. When you build a relational database and start tinkering with the back end it gets messy and complicated. Sometimes it’s easier to start again. I think they are tinkering, albeit with a sledge hammer, with a system that is fundamentally dysfunctional. They need to find where the issues are, rewrite the system and start afresh!! This could be done, seamlessly, by rolling over participants onto the new system as their plan reviews come up.

Why do I call it dysfunctional. Because there are providers who move into this space ‘to make money’. They see participants as cash cows!! This corruption they speak of is just the tip of the iceberg. The majority of funding is being sponged up by ‘support’ providers using participants funding. There are loopholes in the system that allow them to access participants funding like a bank account. And no one is looking at this abuse of the system!!
